Notes:

1. This series of actuators can only control travel in the open direction. They can not control travel in the closed direction.
2. QHD/QHS-90 and below specifications with plate solenoid valve need adaptor board.

Pneumatic Actuator Design Structure

Brief introduction: 
QH series pneumatic actuator is manufactured with multiple modern technology and new material, embodying the characteristics of design 
science, reliable quality, long life and exquisite design. It is widely used as the drive of 90° turn valves, such as ball valve, butterfly valve, plug 
valve, etc.  

1. Indicator:
NAMUR standard indicator is convenient for installing position switch, positioner and other accessories.

2. Output shaft: 
Integrated nickel alloy steel&high accuracy output shaft complies with NAMUR, ISO5211&DIN3337. Stainless steel body material&dimension can be customized according to customers´ requirements.

3. Cylinder: 
ASTM6005 die casting aluminum alloy cylinder adopts hard anodi-zed, epoxy resin protective coating (blue spray, orange spray, yellow spray, etc.) PTFE coating or nickel plating can meet different requirements.

4. End cap: 
Golden powder coating, PTFE coating or nickel plating is available on die casting aluminum alloy.

5. Travel control:【Adjust opening only】 
Two independent travel control bolts can adjust open position in ±5°.

6. High performance spring: 
Adopt outstanding material, coating process&prefabricated configuration, embody stronger corrosion resistant and longer life. User can disassemble single acting actuator safely and easily. 
Change spring quantity to meet different torque output range.

7. Bearing, piston guide: 
Adopt low friction, long life composite material, avoid direct contact between metal and metal, and make maintenance more convenient.

8. Sealing: 
For normal temp., adopt NBR seal, while for high temp. or low temp. type, adopt fluororubber or silicone rubber seal.

9. Piston:
With double piston pinion, adopt cast aluminum hard anodized or cast steel galvanized with symmetrical mounting position, quick action&long life span. Keeping piston upside down can change the rotation direction of output shaft.

QHD Single Acting Actuator Output Torque Table 【the torque in shadow is standard selection as preferred consideration】

Note: The quantity of springs in the table above are total quantity of springs on both sides, with normal configuration=10 pieces.

          Under normal operating conditions, the considered safety coefficient of single acting actuator is 1.3～1.5.
          E.g.: Valve torque=80N·m, safe torque=80×1.3=104N·m, air source pressure=5bar, against the single acting torque table,

          we could figure out the output torque of QHD-160-10: Air travel 0°=418N·m, air travel 90°=205N·m, spring travel 0°=386N·m,

          spring travel 90°=173N·m, all output torque exceeds our requirement, so the smallest specification is QHD-160-10.

Note: Under normal operating conditions, the considered safety coefficient of double acting actuator is 1.2～1.3.
          E.g.: Valve torque=100N·m, safe torque=100×1.3=130N·m, air source pressure=5bar, against the double acting torque table,

          the smallest and most suitable actuator specification to be selected is QHS-110.

Notes:

1. For QHD/QHS-90 and below, plate pattern solenoid valve needs adaptor board, QHD/QHS-110 and above can be mounted directly.
2. Output shaft normally made with standard 1, it can be configured as standard 2 or standard 3 accordingto customers´ requirements. 
3. H11 and H9 are indicated as tolerance grades.

Notes:

1. The configuration in the left table is for Pn16bar valve with air source pressure of 5bar, for PN25bar, actuator should be configured witha one-increment larger size, for PN40bar, a two-increment larger size and so forth.
2. Configuration of three-way L type is the same as two-way, three-way T type is configured with a one-increment larger size.
3. PPL seal, hard seal, F46 lining&PN25bar valve should be configured with a one-increment larger size, PN25bar valve with PPL seal should be configured with a two-increment larger size and so forth.
4. The configuration above is just for refe- rence, the related actuator should be con-figured according to the specifications and actual valve torque. 
5. QH-90 and below actuators need adaptor board. Actuator above QH-90 can be mounted directly.
