Main Function

1. Discharge the excess gas generated within the system or container.
2. When there exists the vacuum in a sealed container due to a decrease in liquid level, this air vent valve inhales the atmosphere to maintain the pressure balance within the container.

Working Principle

1. When there is a large amount of air in the container or pipeline, the air vent valve contains no liquid. The air directly exits through the big exhaust hole. After the air is exhausted, the liquid level rises, causing the floating ball to float up and seal the small exhaust hole. It also pushes the valve disc upward to seal the big exhaust hole, preventing liquid from leaking out.
2. When there is a small amount of air in the container or pipeline, the liquid level in the air vent valve decreases. The floating ball is affected by gravity and moves downward, the small exhaust hole opens and exhausts a small amount of air. After the air is exhausted, the liquid level rises and the floating ball moves upward to seal the big exhaust hole and the small exhaust hole.
3. When negative pressure is generated in the container or pipeline, the liquid level in the air vent valve decreases. The floating ball and the valve stem are affected by gravity and move downward. The small exhaust hole opens, at the same time, the valve disc leaves from the sealing seat. The big exhaust hole opens and inhales the atmosphere into the container or pipeline, maintaining the pressure balance inside and outside the container or pipeline, avoiding the damage caused by the negative pressure.
